Ayelet Hillel-Birenzwig, Adv. (CPA) is a senior partner at Shekel & Co.
Ayelet joined the firm in 2007 and specializes in all aspects of taxation, including corporate tax, income tax, corporate restructuring, capital gains tax, and the Encouragement of Capital Investments Law. In addition to her legal training, Ayelet is a certified public accountant with expertise in finance and business administration. Her multidisciplinary background provides her with a broad and in-depth perspective in analyzing complex tax matters, integrating financial, accounting, and business aspects.
Before joining Shekel & Co., Ayelet held several senior positions at the Israel Tax Authority, where she served as a professional advisor to the Director of the Israeli Tax Authority and was a member of the Professional Division. She also co-chaired the Direct Taxes Committee of the Israel Bar Association.
Ayelet represents prominent business entities in the Israeli economy, including public and private companies, investment funds, international corporations, and more, while also advising a diverse range of private clients. She supports her clients in proceedings before tax authorities and various judicial instances, providing counsel, guidance, and strategic tax planning for transactions. Ayelet also offers legal opinions on complex tax matters, devises creative tax benefit solutions, handles procedures for obtaining advance tax rulings, and manages tax assessment and appeal proceedings across different tax domains.
Ayelet is an active lecturer in various forums, including the Israel Bar Association and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants professional training courses. She also lectured in the accounting and law departments at the College of Management and Reichman University.
